Kinda knew this was coming. Just thought it would have been even worse than it ended up being, so happy for that part. Hopefully we will regain by this summer since so many other airlines are cutting their summer flights by the thousands (nearly 5,000 by AA alone) Might be a good time for SWA to regain some of those passengers back to us by loyalty passengers staying with us through thick and thin...

And now the 2nd Q numbers are out. Not terrible by any means. 673 Million with 120+ going to profit sharing. Some highlights below;

Already posted and the numbers suck and WN is cutting flights now.

So Southwest (LUV) missed by a penny on earnings with unit revenue (RASM) down by 8.3% year-over year, even with record quarterly revenue of $7.0 billion. Operating margin was 11.3% -- considerably lower than UA/DL/AA.

They also expect RASM for Q3 to be down 3-7%, with capacity up 12% year-over-year.

Stock is down close to 10% today.

Also found it interesting they said they would be reducing the number of short-haul and early AM flights because of reduced business demand.
