Right now we have a “President†(and a Congress) in this country who, on one hand, believes he can meet, talk, and reason without preconditions those enemies today who would see us and our allies completely obliterated.
On the other hand, he has spent the most part of his public addresses to the world in less than a half year apologizing for our strengths and in doing so has minimized our losses and lessons learned in our own history … and has shunned and shamed our victories and accomplishments … simply because it doesn’t fit HIS high brow image of his own importance.
Even in victory the United States has been wrong in his mind. In the heart of our current enemy’s realm he presented an appeasing address to our enemy’s masses (forgetting the populace of Nazi Germany, though not personally involved in the war and killing, did nothing to object or resist it amongst their own countrymen) that would have made Chamberlain burst with pride while making Churchill gasp and bellow of the impending dangers ahead that his own fellow countryman had just set before the world.
Even our media seeks to make us (and our allies) the villan and minimize the real victims (in history and today) in their attempts to hoist up today’s enemy as victims.
We are living in a time right this very moment that proves “those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat itâ€. The enemy is not the same as in WWII, but not that dissimilar.
The ideologies are the same … death to those who believe differently, and complete world domination. But today’s intellectual elites (many, if not most, fooling themselves in their level of intellect) like those of the WWII era champion our primate roots through ‘evolution’, yet lack the embedded trait and instinct of survival.
They believe their “ideas†and “ideals†will survive once they are gone. Books were burned in Nazi Germany. Ideas and ideals were gassed/shot and their bodies burned like rubbish. It IS their ideas and ideals the enemy seeks to erase.
For the last eight years I have seen and felt and believed everything we are living right now is a parallel universe to that which we lived through 65 years ago. I do so because I understand both the history … and the repeating of it. The only real difference is, if we had the media 65 years ago that we have today, WWII would have been over for us, and the rest of the free world, on June 6, 1944 …
We have NOT “earned this†… and, unfortunately and sinfully, we continue NOT to earn the sacrifice over the last 8 years. May God, and the men who have fallen, forgive us.
