AA and Labor Negotiations-2020

There you go saying you would vote no on a contact you are not even apart of. Wow......just a observation

It’s easy to say you’d vote no when it doesn’t affect your life. I would never send the worthless ASS back to the table, thinking we would get something better. I mean think about it, this is almost the exact same proposal the company had on the table (minus all the IAM gains) that the ASS was trash 2 years ago. But now it’s awesome. Anyone that votes no to send these fools back needs a drug test
What you both don't realize is it does affect me. It affects the industry as a whole. Something else you missed that I said was that i am not an IGM'er like most are. You are more than likely dead on about sending the asso. back to the table, but I still would be a NO vote for the standing "highlights" currently being moved around, and I only think the details will only get worse once they are released in full.
So here lies a question; You guys currently have an AIP, are there dates set for the asso. to turn it into a T/A?

Swamt i can't speak for MTR but in our presentation yesterday for fsa we were told that they are hoping to send it out by month end with a vote in early March. Also itll be a 1 day only vote. No electronic vote. The language is being written in Florida but who know how long itll be. Weve been told the Association is recommending a yes vote bec if its turned down next one will be worse. Just from what was said yesterday

This all seems so counterproductive to stress to the members that this is as good as it gets. A no vote only means it will get worse. Why would anyone expect the company to negotiate in good faith if this is the mentality of the leadership and the members. I know its happened before, I know the precedent has been set. I am only asking why we vote at all? Is it really to keep membership from bitching about not getting a vote? (like that hasn't happened) This basically says to the company our negotiators will just roll over, we"ll take what you give us.

That doesn't even sound legal. Do you have to vote in person or can it be by telephone?

Its an iam thing. Since the own the twu thats the way it will be done

The iam does it in person. Since they own the twu thats the way it will be
So if in person, all folks sick (incapacitated) on vacation and other obligations, your vote will not be tallied? That is a yes since they are recommending it and a no if they were against...all seems fair to me...wow!

sounds like a dog whistle for lus. if this gets voted down, you'll have to pay for insurance what laa pays and you'll lose catering jobs.

if i go to a lodge a vote, do i get a big poobah hat?

From our presentation yesterday the pilots n or f/as had asked the Association to keep our insurance which became the sticking point. Now if n thats a huge IF the ta is voted in all new hires will be placed in the laa plan which is 705 bucks higher than what we lus pay. Basically they grandfathered lus in
