About this pandemic

Well K.C. you've worked with CDC for 20 years and you are here........ And that's O.K.......Now. I've worked on airplanes for two major Airlines for 40.years, and military aircrat for 4 before that, but do you think I'de be welcome over on the CDC message board?
Yes, so long as you didn't try to present yourself as some expert on the CDC. You need to save that for the airline boards. Can you help me out here...can you guide me to some of your posts in the water cooler where you share that wisdom about aircraft maintenance here in the water cooler? Do most aviation mechanic schools uses memes to teach?

Why don't you only post in airline related threads? I haven't seen any in the cooler. What about being an airline employee qualifies you to talk about communicable disease but not me? What about being an airline employee qualifies you to talk about socialism, but not me? What about being an airline employee qualifies to you to talk about a political candidate, but not me? The nearest I came to saying anything about airlines was related to the MCAS system on the 737, which is a computer software issue. I worked in IT for public health and so my comments came more from the IT side...not some inate knowlege of airlines. Indeed...do mechanics repair the MCAS system? Does the same guy who overhauls a jet engine also write the code for the computer system? If having knowledge (not an opinion) of something is a requirement to post here, why do you have so many non airline related posts?
Because people are not 2 dimensional beings and have interest outside of their job.

That being said this IS a forum for airlines. that is it's main focus, and he DOES work for an airline. I used to work for an airline and my wife still does work for an airline.

The only thing I ever see you do here is post leftist propaganda, ignore counter responses that derail your nonsense, and ask the same question over and over when someone already gave you a clear answer the first time. All that tells me you are here to try to keep the status quo, blind devotion of UNION employees to the Democratic Party.

Is that a fair analysis?

My 10 year anniversary on this site is coming up in 2 days (May 29, 2010). I don't know the origins of this forum or it's focus before that Mr Pioneer but I do know it's focus for the last 10 years has been airline employees which you are NOT and never have been. So, one might question your motivation for being here for the last 10 years (at least).

I use a VPN so, sometimes I see advertising content from other countries.

Just curious, is Pepsi Mango sold in the United States? I have never seen it.

If not why not?

Is this yet another example of foreigners benefiting from American ingenuity while American citizens are denied?

Well....I used to FLY on airlines for a living. So that gives me about as much right as it does former employees. The business changes.

I was only in a union for 1 year of my work life (Teamsters 1980). But I realized that all the things I had in my non union jobs - vacation time, sick time, overtime pay, safe workplace, were all due to unions. Yeah...I know union leadership may have been corrupted....but you know something? Now that I am retired, I hope you get your wish and unions fade into the sunset. While that is happening, you might notice that your pay isn't going up as fast as it has....your sick time and vacation are cut and you might face a few more risky situations at work. But that's okay. At least an organization isn't giving money to Democrats.

Just long enough for them to do a mind job on you.

Great. That was decades ago. You don't get to ride accomplishments until the end of time.

Yeah...I know union leadership may have been corrupted....but you know something?
I know it's hypocritical of you to knowingly tolerate corruption when you made pointed accusations toward me regarding Trump.

Now that I am retired, I hope you get your wish and unions fade into the sunset.
Just another I got mine Democrat. I never said I wanted UNIONs to fade into the sunset. That exist only in your warped mind. I have said I want UNIONs to actually represent working people instead of pandering to Democrats and funding issues that have NOTHING to do with labor. You have any idea how many times I have seen the company violate contract only to hear a UNION apologist excuse it? Especially when it is in their favor. Like Debbie Tiller bypassing UNION seniority after cutting an under the table deal with management to save her own ass at the expense of the people she is supposed to be representing. That is the modern UNION KCFlyer. I also have to laugh at your undying devotion to all things UNION when you were only in one for ONE YEAR. You support the ideals but have no practical experience to base it on (or very little). Another common Democrat trait.

You mean the things that have been happening the last 30 years anyway?

What do you think the Democrats are doing in favor of the working people for all that money the UNIONs give them? Not a damn thing.

No one on this site needs to pass a purity test.
Of course not.

But it speaks to motive.

That aside, a forum "for airlines" has a pretty wide spectrum- the business side, frequent fliers, employees, fans, etc. Lots of Cockroaches used to call this home back in the day.
Yes, however very few of his posts have anything to do with airlines. Most of them are political in nature.

So one might question his motives for frequenting a forum with a focus on airline related subject matter, when very few of his post have to do with airlines, and most of them are political in nature.

True or no true?

Now I find out our resident expert has never worked at an airline and has only belonged to a UNION for a total of one year. From my perspective that invites ridicule and I am accepting the invitation.

La'.
To be sure, there are COMPANY unions, and weak unions.
BUT, Don't embarrass yourself by 'trying' to tell us that the Unions on the US Railroads, huge Subways systems , Chicago, Philly, Boston,LA, NYC-TWU are weak. How about the Longshoremen/dockworkers, ESPECIALLY along the West coast, are are Weak ??? How about UPS/teamsters ??

I rest my case !

Of course not.

Well, good thing we're in the Water Cooler subforum, then. You know the one specifically set up for non-aviation topics?
