Though no longer @AFW, have found out that ABQ will soon hire a CONTRACT Crew to perform maint checks and FMRs. This is after SW Line Division could not force DFW to perform additional MD82/83 A, PS & 0909 checks, without increasing headcount. DFW is now short about 2 dozen AMTs, and HDQ will NOT increase headcount ANYWHERE until after "HARMONIZATION" with US AIR!!

This is also happening at Rio de Janiro!

Is this round of OUSOURCING happening elsewhere? How close to the 35% OUTSOURCING cap is M&E at??

The Line cap is 15%, gets added to the 35% but from what I hear management is deliberately steeering TAESL on to the rocks. Closing TAESL could allow the compamny to bring the cap up to possibly 50%.

They are hiring on the line, cant even let the Early Outs go.
 
Anyone know the total number of people that took the early out? When will they all be off property?

I had to work and ABQ, about three years ago. And they've never had their own maintenance, was all contract.

Sorry Bob more like $35 ph, medical is state funded , not all have pensions, and compaany still looking for more cuts.Cost of living is a h#ll of a lot higher in Europe, yet pay is the same as the US! $8 bucks for a gallon of gas just to start. But so far no talk of contracting out europe, becaause that would even cost more $$$$
