What I would like to know is what focus group did they talk to years ago that said, "What I really would like to see in the airport terminal is long, endless corridors to schlep my luggage down." (The ultimate expression of that is Terminal D at MIA. It's like a mile long from entry to last gate.) "Oh, and could you please carpet those corridors, especially where there is an unneeded but steep upward slope to the floor, to make it more difficult to pull my wheeled carry-on bag,"
