Allegiant to Purchase Six B757's

Allegiant has a very interesting business model/plan which make you ask the question why the legacy airlines haven't adopted some of Allegiants' ideas. For example, US Airways' experiment with MetroJet which was similar to Allegiant's business model/plan. Allegiant is flying twice weekly scheduled airline service between Hagerstown MD and Orlando/Sanford with 85+ load factors.

I don't see how you are arriving at this conclusion Metrojet was a heavy frequency short hail leisure market competitor to WN which failed miserably due to high costs . G4 rarely flies a route daily and mostly bases their sales on vacation packages and room combos from mostly second and third tier markets to resort areas. They are more of a vacation company than airline and are able to split the extra revenue with hotels. Any route not performing is quickly cut.

As well as many sports charters. They are hugely successful They (for the most part) do not RON their crews. Everyone's home at the end of the day. They also don't fly on Tuesdays and a very limited schedule on saturdays to get things done.

Nice people too!
