American Airlines and TWU Reach Industry-Leading Agreement for Flight Instructors

No, LUS FCTIs were also TWU represented. LIke the AMT and Fleet, this negotiation has been like watching paint dry. Delayed by first, the Single Carrier determination, then by the fact that LUS had been in Section 6 negotiations since Jan 2012, and finally this work group JCBA was not critical to the company so negotiation sessions were generally conducted 2-3 days every 3-4 months for about 2 years. An additional delay occurred when the GSW group tried to establish an internal union - NAAP I think it was.

Unfortunately, at a certain point, the attempt to reach a TA on the Section 6 negotiations was abandoned by the LUS Local as it was clear that the company wasn't going to move forward in that area. So the LUS contract was still the BK 2 contract from what, 2004 or 2005? (can't remember the year)

I haven't looked at the TA, but 100% certain it will pass. GSW - 75% or better LUS - probably 30% or so. But 300 instructors (Ground School plus Sim Pilots) in GSW, about 95 LUS (all FCTIs).
