Six week old story. I think it was discussed when it was "news." A website says that AA's brand is "damaged." Yawn. So I guess when Doug Parker takes over, the airline will be called US Airways, a very valuable brand that's never been "damaged."
It all started after Crandal's departure.
Its a good thing we are keeping the key talent
Well HELL - I've played a piano since I was 6 or so - does that count as talent?
Not only talent, but KEY talent. 88 Keys to be exact!
Whoever finally gets AA. The new company (AA + UA ) would fare better using a name of a company that once did rule the international skies with an American flair, that airline -TWA
Actually, the airline will be called American .. But I am sure you knew that already .,
They might call it American, but it would be US Airways under the hood. Just like United is now really Continental under a new name.
AA does not wants to be an MRO. They just want to pay their mechanics MRO wages.
AA is talking about a lot outsourcing. Well with all the outsourcing wouldn't this free up hangar space?
Do you think AA will fill that space with third party work?
If not then they really do not want to be a world class MRO.
But if they do they will need more mechanics. And if they want to have a true 24/7 hour base they will need a lot more mechanics.
Do the want to be an MRO or don't they?
