American looking to "right-size" the company and staffing levels for the Fall and 2021

What's the story on the company's voluntary partial paid leave? AA hasn't sent any email or communication lately with the employees that signed up for it. Was it all just contingent on another round of gov CARES act and not really a true opportunity? Meanwhile Southwest's voluntary leave started Sept 1st regardless of the CARES act with no furloughs taking place.

Let's hope something comes out this time around. Republicans once again move forward towards an agreement, watch Pelosi and crew shoot it down again. They just want the people and the economy to tank the worst that it can before the election, so sad.

She n crew are working on another bill which includes airline aid. Regardless of both parties I'm not hopeful. Just hope for a good outcome. DP was on Face the Nation yesterday
I too hope for a good outcome as well. She will try to add in some ridiculous terms like paying for the rioting cities rebuild during the peaceful protest or rather non peaceful riots. She has also in the past tried to throw bailing out democratic cities that the govs and leaders have financially ruined, I say no way in hell, not on the taxpayers shoulders.

Oh, taxpayers will pay for Durkin, Wheeler, DeBlasio and Lightfoot's incompetence but it will be the suburban and rural voters of WA, OR, NY and IL... No less justified than expecting the people of South Dakota to have to bail out AA's ass for the three or four flights a day on RJ's they get in return....

Supposedly there a deal. Roughly 2.2 billion that includes 28 for airline industry and 1200 stimulus for targeted individuals.

Why the hell should we pay the price for willful destruction? Let them live with the consequences of their decisions. Let them pay for it through HIGH taxes.

That's the way it works in this nation. We don't get to itemize our tax bill according to fit our tastes.
