LONDON (AP) -- British Airways said Monday it would offer vouchers worth $128 to any passengers whose plans were disrupted by a wildcat strike at Heathrow airport.

Thousands of travelers suffered serious delays and flight cancelations during and after the July 18-19 walkout, and many more arrived at destinations without their luggage. It took days to clear the backlog of stranded travelers and bags.

The airline said it was offering the vouchers as a gesture of goodwill and had already contacted 17,000 affected passengers
