I will try to assume these were honest mistakes and not intent to defraud the membership, but I am very leery.

The big word in PIT is the local IAM leadership for the Mechanic & Related may have some possible moral issues. (Go figure that one). Recently in December all of the local officers were up for election. It was alleged at the time that there were election irregularities happening. (Which appear to may have happened in the past too). The election went through and officers were sworn in. Now after the Department of Labor and others were notified the election is null and void as per the IAM district office. There will be a new election. Hopefully the current PIT President will adhere by the rules and by the law for the new election. Best wishes for PIT based Mechanics & Related as they will shortly be having a new election for leaders that are honestly elected.

--Hopefully these new leaders will not be paid overtime money for hours they do not work.

GO BILL...kick some ###

Thanks...Mr. T for stepping aside so Bill can get in.

I do not know all of what is going on there, but if there is something wrong I feel it would not be the first time there has been corruption with a union. I have heard people say they feel like it is a company union now. Nature of the beast is to resist change. Hopefully some good changes will be here soon.

your post is based on rumor.get the facts.
the only reason IAM international called for a rerun election was an absentee ballot request form was not included in the "POTOMAC NEWS" LL 1976 official communication form to its members. although ample information was included in the letter as to where and how absentee ballots could be obtained , they still needed to have a request form in the official communiation document.this is the only reason IAM INT"L called for a rerun election.
if you read the letter that was "pirated" from franks office...you'll see several other procedural errors that were done, none of which drove a rerun election.none of which were as you infer done in a fashion of deceit .
you have made insinuations and acusations here based on rumor and not fact.
you should be brought up on charges before the international.

Read my post again carefully. I stand by what I stated and I can assure you it is very sugar coated from what I have been told. There are many things that happened with the election that I did not even mention. I think it is much worse than the average person believes.

Fact is: a change is needed just like the fact is, change was too much for the current leader. He is finished just like Howard Dean is.

756PRO:best thing here is for your sore loser to prevail in a repeat loss.THEN WHAT WILL BILL DO?
BTW- this will cost you and i upwards of $10,000.00 for a rerun...10k outa our dues!way to go billy!

One should not blame Bill for insisting on an honest election. The blame for the extra election money should be burdened to whomever gave the reason to have a new election in the first place. Besides the local has plenty of cash that has been spent on allot worse things than an honest election. Please tell me that you do believe the members deserve an honest election?

--The ten grand cost figure appears high also.

Dude- We are on the same team.

the term honest is being used in an ambiguous and misleading manner...... infers something "dishonest" was done and this is not the fact.again you decieve.

GOOD POINT.... i've seen billy in action and was impressed with way he yells, screams and swears...real professional, huh? this reminds me of the last election...didn't fair billy lose the last election and file a protest over the retiree's being able to vote? and have to eat crow later? seems we have a track record of being a "sore loser".
maybe he can do the howard dean cheer??
maybe you're right...we need someone in there who in the moment we need him most will keel over with a heart attack in the middle of a hissy fit.
