So, US Airways is now the target of every TV and news print across the Coutry as an example of everything wrong with the airline industry, with the exception of Southwest of course. So what needs to be done to maintain some level of revenue paying passengers during the next four month until the summer comes.

My idea, determine a single fare of every market pair US Airways currently operates. One fare (the same fare) that would be equally attractive to both the advance reservation and the walkup passenger. For those few who believe US Airways will survive, you'll have a reserved seat. For those who believe they can't count on US Airways in advance, you can wait until the day you travel and purchase the same fare ticket as a walkup customer.
