Hey,

You guys are WTing hard on this one.

Its illegal for Delta NOT to show the terms of the ticket. If they didn't do it then the DOT would be all over them.

Pick a target. You want the terms of the ticket or you don't. Its not shaming.

dawg got this one right.

given that the DOJ and DOT are saying that airlines are engaging in deceptive practices, DL clearly is erring on the side of making sure the customer knows EXACTLY what they are getting.

Hey,

that would be UA, just so you know.

Not really most regulators are reactionary - the media might have pointed something out and now the DOT will look at it - in the end I'm sure DL is disclosing properly - however that does not mean there will not be action - look at all the lawsuits this admininstration has brought against corporate America and then settle out of court with no admission of guilt

airlines are and always have been high profile companies that evoke a lot of emotion from a lot of people.

I'm not sure that there is any basis for a DOT investigation based on the amount of DL's disclosures... but perhaps as a supporting document to their ongoing concern about airline fee disclosures.

but since there has been no finger pointing at all regarding what the government has seen and not liked, it is hard to know whether DL and this issue is even on the list.

And there really have not been settlements with no admission of guilt regarding fare disclosures. either the DOT has fined carriers and the carriers have said they would implement changes to fix the allegation or rules have been changed because the DOT has not liked the level of rules that have existed.
