it's going to the museum which is exactly where I said DL would celebrate heritage liveries... not on operational aircraft.

Gee, glad that technicality was stated. People might have been confused...

Aircraft looks good, but have some mixed emotions about what it means for an aircraft type which entered service about the same time I did now being considered worthy of heading to a museum...
 
I would hope your life expectancy from the time you were "manufactured" was higher than a commercial jet to begin with.

You can take comfort that DL will likely be one of the last airlines to fly the 757 in large numbers which will mean it will be flying for years to come.

The operational advantages the 757 has over other narrowbody aircraft will be well used.

I'm sure AA will hold onto a few copies as well; there are all kinds of airports in Latin America where the 757 is the difference between getting in and out with any decent amount of payload and making a 4000+ mile flight.
