Delta Labor Relations thread.

They are in the middle of a big push, card collecting is going well.

They have kicked the campaign up a notch, and they cant file till April, there is a one year bar in effect.

Follow your own posts, wow, no wonder.....
So you did blatantly lie about AFA's involvement in reinstatement of those FA's?

The union did nothing and they had to resort to outside council.

That's some stellar union protection.

Big push? What happen to the claims of "record amount of cards being signed"?

They are whistling pass the graveyard.

RIP IAM

Separately, the AFA said it has filed grievances under its collective bargaining under its collective bargaining agreement with United seeking reinstatement of the flight attendants with full back pay and benefits.

Read the article.

You said AFA was involved.

Proof says they weren't.

There's no mention in any press releases anywhere. Nor any mention from AFA themselves.

So either retract or admit you lied.

Once again, the only one lying is you.

Says a so called SAFA who isnt flying and has nothing to do with the IAM and their organizing.

Your paid to be anti-union by the company, tell Ford and Harrison to come up with something new.

Evading the question does nothing for your credibility.

Where's the proof?

The article references the press release from the law firm. Nowhere does it say anything about AFA. Joint statement from UA and FA's.

Joint Statement by United Airlines and Thirteen Flight Attendants

WASHINGTON, March 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- United Airlines and 13 flight attendants that the company relieved of their duties inOctober 2014 announced today that they have reached a resolution to their disagreement.

The flight attendants filed a complaint with the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) under AIR 21. As part of the settlement, United will reinstate the flight attendants to their duties and the flight attendants will withdraw their OSHA filing. The remaining terms of the resolution reached between the parties are confidential.

"The safety of our employees and customers is paramount. We respect the right of our employees to raise concerns in good faith about the safety or security of our operations, and encourage them to do so," said Sam Risoli, United's senior vice president of inflight services. "We welcome these flight attendants back to our team."

David J. Marshall, a partner with the law firm of Katz, Marshall & Banks, who represented the flight attendants before OSHA, stated that his clients were happy to be reinstated to their jobs with United.

"The protections that federal law provides to airline workers are essential to the safety of passenger airline operations," Marshall said. "I'm glad that United and these flight attendants have come to a resolution that underscores the importance of these laws for airlines and their employees."

So what? They filed a grievance that went nowhere and had to have attorneys do the job the union was supposed to do.

Who paid attorney fees?

From a current DL FA:

I'm going to share some very simple, but powerful words that mean a lot to me.

"With new union representation, you ALWAYS take a step forward; never a step back."

Why is that message powerful? Because it's true. Here's a short list of the very first 10 things that happen when you become a union member:

1) Personal Job security. You're no longer an at-will employee. Gone will be the days of termination without legal, due-process. Your dues equal legal representation and objective; fair treatment.

2) Freedom of Speech. Why do you hear so much from union members speaking up in public? The answer is "Because they can. And they won't get fired for it."

3) Democracy. You never take a step back because what you have on the day you become Union members is status quo. Legally, the corporation can't take anything away and you start negotiations where you are right now. You have a democratic vote to pass a contract and you wouldn't vote to pass and accept a contract that didn't move us a step forward, right?

4) Fairness. Say goodbye to the days when Anti- Union Joe from ATL gets to breeze by with 10 sick calls and you get a letter in your file for 3. Disparate treatment goes away.

5) Transparency. Any idea what the financials are for IFS right now? Nope. And even if you were given a #; you don't know if it's accurate. With representation, we have a team of analysts, lawyers and actuaries who will have access to the real data so that what we ask for in negotiations can be legitimate and transparent and realistic.

6) Respect as a professional. This is one main reason why FAs sign cards. Because they want the respect of being treated like an adult, professional. Union members at other airlines have a seat on the board of directors at their company. We should as well. This isn't a frat house; it's a career.

7) Medical Insurance. We can do better with a legal voice. Ours is abysmal.

8) Retirement. With the IAM, we could negotiate a pension. A secure, pension.

9) Scope. This is just another word for job security in a bigger sense. Scope language is negotiated and deals with mergers, code-share flying, outsourcing etc. Just look at our world right now and the internal corporate messages. Scope is your protection as a employee group and you can't have that protection without representation. Our Pilots realize that.

10) Possibilities! There are countless options for Union members to positively add to society. Whether it be getting further education through the Winpisinger Center, participating in Guide Dogs of America, Helmets to Hardhats, Wheelchairs in Panama, lobbying in Congress to better our middle class, leadership training etc. The IAM is a union with resources and opportunities that go far beyond just day to day work at our company.

10 very clear reasons to sign a card. 10 very clear reasons to vote YES.

You always step forward; you never step back.

You don't work at DAL.

Why are you claiming you do?

And what does this have to do with "labor relations"?

FAR violations on stocking the airplane, no room for supplies.

I didnt claim that was me posting it, but you have to try and change the topic as it doesnt fit your narrative.
