DL's growth in the NYC and LAX markets continues as DL takes an even larger seat share in two of the largest markets from both NYC and CA.

DL also continues to use the int'l configured 767 on US domestic routes with 3 of the JFK-SFO to operate on 767s, providing an explanation of why DL might have chosen to allow VS to fly some of its US-LHR flying and use DL's 767s in some of the top routes in the US.

Adding one flight to JFK-LAX and six of them are 757s.

Guess DL's international markets are shrinking and losing money moving International planes to domestic flying.

if you actually read the press release AND what I wrote, 3 of the 8 JFK-SFO flights will operate on 767s. NONE operate on 767s now. a total of 7 transcon flights will operate on int'l configured 767s which is an increase from current schedules.

and we haven't even seen what will happen if the LGA perimeter rule is repealed and DL adds 767 transcon flying from LGA.

DL's JV partners can't fly domestic routes. Only DL can do that. DL gains revenues regardless of what aircraft fly LHR routes.

it probably took time to decide where to pull 767s from and in order to make sure DL had the appropriate resources to make sure the flights work.

JFK is slot controlled, you do realize?

depends on the ownership and usage of those slots.

rather than speculate, how about we wait until the transaction is approved and see what happens?

it is very possible that VS can operate the LHR flight that DL is operating now under different slot requirements than DL.

Given that DL is abandoning markets left-right-center, it shouldn't be hard to find spare 767s ... ... ...

Don't forget they also have A350 deliveries taking place, which is probably cascading downward and freeing up the 767s.

Another correct post by E and another error by 700
DL has 333HGWs, 359s, and 330-900s on order. DL has 333sto be delivered in 2016 and I believe the first 359s also arrive next year.

On post 97 of the other thread you commented on DL redeploying aircraft as that is what a profit minded company does

Therefore if you don't take delivery of any additional 767's - wait -wait - here is the big news you have to pull a 767 from old route A to fly new route B

See very simple- it's great DL is adding capacity to an already saturated market - to quote you when an airline does that - they are dumping capacity

Excellent approach by DL

Getting planes next year or after doesn't free up 767s now.

If you actually thought before you post, instead of trying to criticize me, you would have comprehended my post.

So please explain how an undelivered plane can fly a route that a 767 was removed from?
