This item was dated September 7th. Did anyone else report this incident before today? I sorta kinda accidentally ran across this little news item.
As I understand it, test was supposed to cause entire structure of aircraft to collapse, but door blew off well before they reached the test range. Oops! (Don't you just hate it when that happens?)
Report says there was "a stunned silence in the test area." Yeah, I just bet there was.
I guess this explains why Emirates is planning to introduce Premium Economy on A380 next year instead of on 777X.
