Emergency Landing at PHL

They are all extremely lucky that the pilot knew what to do and got 'er down so quickly.

About a year ago when Southwest had a fan blade break and basically the same thing happened, but with no fatality was there a NTSB report finished yet?

It was and we followed the recommendations and even exceded them. Now with this we accelerated our engine inspections ahead of any A.D. coming out from the F.A.A. . We will have to wait for the final report on this accident from the N.T.S.B..

I heard she caught the third cable on landing.
Once they installed the Carrier landing systems for autoland it made it a little easier, but you still have to land the aircraft, hit the deck, and advance the throttles to takeoff in case you miss the wire. She is definitely a better pilot than John McCain who's dad was an admiral, which moved John up through the ranks. He unfortunately almost sank the USS Forrestal CV59 in 1967 when his missile went off on his aircraft on the flight deck. That's why some guys called that ship the USS Forest Fire, not good.

No, McCain didn't launch the missile; the Zuni missile was fired from a Phantom, and McCain was flying a Skyhawk:

Yes, she probably is a better pilot than McCain, but there's no need to defame a war hero to make your point. He didn't "almost sink" the Forrestal.
