Exec Compensation

Finish or Ignore said:
We should all believe that the "executives" had everything to do with keeping us afloat and nothing to do the dismal fiscal condition of the company that brougt us to where we are. AND the shi**y treatment of the rank and file.

Again, if you're an executive in American
business, it doesn't matter how poorly you
managed a company, or business unit of
a company. If you can keep the company
alive long enough to be turned around or
sold, AND keep your job in the process,
you are considered a success and should
be rewarded for your efforts.

This is not something I invented, or
even approve of, but it is reality and
unless you are an executive with a
large corporation, you will never
completely understand this concept.

Should be rewarded for their efforts????
I do not deny that upper management is a club and go from business to business taking jobs and reaping bonuses. The bad ones at CCY not only made bad decisions in business, but, also the tried to make life miserable for those who continued to work at the airline. In addition, some of their actions resulted in furloughs and major disruptions/strife/heartache in many families. If you and some others on this board want to ignore or look the other way on this matter, please, go ahead. You are an enabler for this type of behavior.
