Just curious........Northwest has to be feeling the heat from the rising cost of oil. Do they not want to raise the fares because they fear losing market share, or is it a ploy to try and force UA out of business, since they compete pretty heavily in Asia?
It would surly be a hugh shot in the arm for Northwest in the Pacific if UA had to sell or shut down that portion of their ops ala' Pan Am. Although, selling may not be easy since all the airlines seem to be tight on cash.
