flyJoe wins this round since he had the closest guess to NWA's latest emergency landing in PDX...

PORTLAND — A Northwest Airlines jet from Minneapolis landed safely at Portland International Airport on Saturday after firetrucks were called out on alert because instruments showed low hydraulic pressure.

Northwest flight 217, a Boeing 757 with 225 passengers and seven crew members aboard, landed on time and taxied normally to the gate shortly after 11 a.m.

An airline spokeswoman said the captain did not call an official emergency but that air traffic controllers were notified of the abnormally low hydraulic pressure reading as a precaution.

The captain on this flight will probably get some form of commendation from the company, since his flight was an "on time" emergency landing at its intended destination!!!
