Climate change alarmists have turned to recruiting sports leagues to promote eco-hysteria. Democrats in Congress are calling on the major sports leagues to promote climate change regulation and to answer what they are doing to limit greenhouse gases.
Democratic legislators from the Bicameral Task Force on Climate Change announced on Nov. 20 that they will host major sports league officials in "a closed-door discussion," Nov. 21. Representatives from Major League Baseball, the NFL, NBA/WNBA, NHL and Olympics are expected to attend.
 
 

The majority of these leagues have also partnered with George Soros-funded lobbyists at the National Resource Defense Council (NRDC) to promote a left-wing environmental agenda. The MLB, NHL, and NBA each worked with NRDC officials to advocate the use of solar power. The NRDC has received $1,775,221 from liberal mega-donor Soros since 2004.
This is not the first time that liberals have relied on sports leagues to promote a left-wing agenda. In September 2013, the White House partnered with the World Champion Baltimore Ravens football team to promote Obamacare. The Pittsburgh Steelers also set up a similar partnership. These partnerships arose after President Obama's unsuccessful attempt to recruit the NBA and the NFL to hype the health care law.

Sun's Current Solar Activity Cycle Is Weakest in a Century
SAN FRANCISCO — The sun's current space-weather cycle is the most anemic in 100 years, scientists say.
Our star is now at "solar maximum," the peak phase of its 11-year activity cycle. But this solar max is weak, and the overall current cycle, known as Solar Cycle 24, conjures up comparisons to the famously feeble Solar Cycle 14 in the early 1900s, researchers said.

Study: Earth was warmer in Roman, Medieval times
If you think the Earth is hot now, try wearing plate armor in the Middle Ages.
A Swedish study found that the planet was warmer in ancient Roman times and the Middle Ages than today, challenging the mainstream idea that man-made greenhouse gas emissions are the main drivers of global warming.
The study, by scientist Leif Kullman, analyzed 455 “radiocarbon-dated mega-fossils” in the Scandes mountains and found that tree lines for different species of trees were higher during the Roman and Medieval times than they are today. Not only that, but the temperatures were higher as well.

Recall global warming hysteria’s halcyon days? Just 13 years ago, Dr. David Viner, senior scientist at Britain’s University of East Anglia’s climatic research unit, confidently predicted that, within a few years, winter snowfall will become “a very rare and exciting event.”
“Children just aren’t going to know what snow is,” he said.
 
Of course, that doesn’t mesh with what happened. This past October, the UK Express headlined, “Worst winter for decades: Record-breaking snow predicted for November.”
