John John is a CWA (east) LUS agent in the CWA-IBT passenger service association.

And again unorganized LAA didn’t have CARS. Unorganized LAA answered all reservations calls dialed from the US stateside at either the SRO (DFW), SERO (RDU), or with HBR in DFW, TUS or RDU areas.

USAIR has calls outsourced overseas under CWA.

Josh
Those call centers were all closed as the CWA at US had SnapBack provisions and all that work was brought back in-house.

All foreign call centers were closed by November 1, 2011.

Again, LUS CWA/IBT had CAR that could do very limited work and a few stations

LAA on the other hand outsourced all work that LUS CAR’s do and then some

LUS took concessions to bring this work under a CBA. CWA/IBT negotiating committee and staff broaden the scope of CAR’s work

Had the language never used.

Just admit you were wrong and this centers have been closed for six years.

Your post stated they have foreign call centers which isn’t true.

He’s been busy trying not to get caught up in the next Bank of America mortgage scam

well, like i said, the local president was angry about it. if you were on the NC and the company proposed this, i wouldn't consider you a failure. it's the company's proposal, hopefully they will back down after the NC attempts to show the company the error of it's way.

It's an absolute failure if it ever leaves the meeting room.

as far as the social media: in the old days, if someone told you something dubious, you could challenge him, right away. face to face.

today, it's hard to have a dialogue with a post on facebook. it's there for all to read, but not instantaneously question. to me, that's a huge difference

i'm not on facebook and i have no clue what was posted and what made him get upset. there is also a CS facebook page for my station and i heard the negative comments are also there. you could always find a friendly 3rd party to post things, the deniability is always there.

Doesn't just have to be FB. All platforms have some benefit, and all unions would do well to embrace each.

IMO, the benefit for labor is increased "reach." Both of our employers can get to every employee instantly, and we're trying to counter that with...flyers?

And while you and I may be used to getting info that way (or going to the hall), the 24-year-old on your gate isn't. That's not good or bad; that's just reality.

There's also the benefit of getting a clear/consistent message out every time. NYer alluded to the lack of clear messaging further up this thread, and how it's causing some undue hurdles.

It would be nice if the mods would get rid of riff raft that can’t keep the subject on US/AA fleet service

Actually the CARS conversation is not really a bad one to have.

I’d vote yes to see something like that come in to get back Cabin Service, Fueling, Mail, Employee Bus drivers, All currently closed cities and all Regional Jets (with staffing restrictions)

But that’s just me.

CARS don’t perform all the same functions as red coats Weez although there is overlap. But you knew that already.

Josh

Found that out later. I’m still seeing escorts be thrown down the chute by freakin Eulen employees.

I yell at them all the time cause they pay no attention to me picking up the ones they chuck.

I want ALL Eulen and subcontractors gone from my Airline.

I understand weez I just get tired of the Bof A banker bringing his tripe in here. Maybe we should discuss the BofA mortgage scam and how many it hurt and what it cost taxpayers

John John you obviously were a no voter for your Contract but that’s in the past now and it’s irrelevant that you disagreed with it.

Your Membership who chose to vote agreed with and passed the TA.

6,993 in favor and 2,522 against.
