Known Crewmember portal use requiring uniform put on hold

Pilot and flight attendant unions filed a complaint with TSA regarding a new rule that crewmembers would have to be in uniform to use the KCM (Known Crew Member) portal. Rule was supposed to go in effect 28September.

I wonder what the union complaint is here? I can't think of a situation where I went through KCM in clothing other than my uniform.

Notice I saw this past Friday is that this is going into effect on Friday 9/6 -- if you're out of uniform, you'll need a second form of government ID.

FAA FA certification counts as a secondary form of ID.
