Local Residents doing their own Stimulus Bill work

Residents on Hawaii's Kauai island were tired of waiting for the government to repair an access road in a state park, so they banded together and completed a $4 million repair job to a state park -- for free. And it only took them 8 days!

It isn't just some Hawaian Natives getting in the mix. In my hometown, Chicago, the winter was pretty bad and massive potholes are everywhere. Residents started getting fed up with local government taking too long to fix the potholes, so they decided to do something about it and filled the potholes themselves.

So what do you all think: is this going to become more common as people realize that government cannot fulfill all their needs?
