Lufthansa and Privatair

Can anyone tell me if there is any formal connection between Lufthansa and PrivatAir? I see that PrivatAir will be operating Dusseldorf-Chicago scheduled flights on behalf of Lufthansa using A-319s (does that sound like torture or what?)....
