Has to be the union. I'm not sure AA has really figured out what Twitter is yet. Their corporate tweeting is outsourced to their PR firm Weber Shandwick.

They've been helpful for reaccomodating me over Gogo and even to other carriers flights. Much of what is posted there is nonsense (like anywhere on the Internet) "I'll never fly AA" "you ruined my vacation" "get new airplanes" "your baggage fees are outrageous" from infrequent travelers but they actually can be helpful.

Its another one of those jobs where appointed union people get to appoint other people,(I believe) the company pays for it and the people the members elect have no say in it..
