Buying the 7E7 for SW is totally ridiculous. It doesn't need a 250 pax 8500 mile airplane. Boeing needs to make a new small 737 replacement, everyone is talking about how great the A320 is( its been around since 1988). 16 years old isn't new. Boeing needs a new plane wider then the 737 and wider then the A320 too. The 737-700 has taken the 737 to the end of the line.

Pehaps a smaller version of the 7E7? I have heard "rumors" of WN being a launch customer! Just rumors at this point. Flight Crews, front & back, love to pass on rumors! :p

I hope SWA is looking at the 737-900X. It's longer than the 900 and has extra exits so the capacity approaches the 757. We'd need more F/A's though, but for some of our long hauls it would make sense.
