NEW PHL CHIEF PILOT

Don't they need to run a bid and interview for a CP position? Or is this a temporary replacement...and is it BP who got the job?

Yes, great . Now you have Bill Pollock, the former ALPA MEC chair as a CP! He led the way taking your pension. For the guys on disability, and those military guys, you have his own offset that he signed. He is all about the pilots! This is a brilliant management move. This move is like kicking one of those big old paper wasp nests. Right out of the Gerry Glass play book! I have to give it to Parker, he picked the most controversial guy you could ever get. And it gives Pollock a way out of the E 190 and not have to fly with guys who absolutely hate him when he would otherwise have to bid the 320 for pay.

You have got to be kidding..............Bill Pollock?

PHL CP office just became immaterial.

MM928

Just became a hotspot for labor relations. This airline is a joke. Instead of being rational, paying some raises and trying to make employees happy, which translates to a better bottom line, they make it a hobby to piss off as many travelers and workers as they can. Southwest must be laughing their heads off. Welcome to the new Eastern Air Lines.

So Yarko is out for lying to 330 crews about FAA approval for the ETOPs debacle. Is he back on the line (and hopefully rereading the FARS and FOM), or is he out the door?

Does that make Parker Frank Lorenzo by proxy? AWA = CAL? We have known that for quit some tme....well 2005.

Tempe Über Alles

SWA is laughing - (only if you dont work here) it's pretty comical.

Nothing mentioned about Yarko, only Pollock coming in. Maybe Yarko goes in the next move. A friend who had a jumpseater recently from CLT to DEN said he was in the CLT CP office, and the company has supposedly filed to seperate the east and west into two separate certificates.

I serious doubt that, do you realize how much that would cost them, and set everything backwards.

Two separate certificates? Maybe the ghost of Lorenzo is stalking the halls of Tempe. So, who is going to be Eastern and who is going to 'be' CAL?
Would it be 'legal' under our T/A to split into two airlines, assuming that a sale of one of them (west - no cars) is not imminent?

Is Lorenzo dead? Otherwise, would there be a ghost?

Don't know if the TA even has to be followed if the merger is disolved. I suspect the answere is no, and the companies would be free to move as many airplanes as they wishes to any certificates they wish.

Lets see what else is in the news, oh, the slot swap has been approved.

Perhaps usapa should take out another USA Today ad, informing the public of the perils of lacking integrity.

This company is amazing in it's ability to destroy itself! I guess they couldn't have done worse unless they found a way to put a non-pilot like Jerry Glass in the position.

Regards,

Bob
