One individual dimwit in that thread has posted 30 times - more than 25% of the total posts, despite their complete lack of knowledge about the topic.

 
That happens all the time on the internets.  Just check out the threads on the AA turbulence incident over Japan and the DL incidents at LGA and over China.
 
We had our own pompous gasbag expounding on all sorts of flight ops issues of which he had zero knowledge. 
 
Life in a cubicle can have quite an effect on the mind.

Wedge aside, I've noticed that that is how DL operates, regardless of issue. Everyone pays for the "sins of others."Has it always been like this?

Yes. We are all treated equally.....passes. Profit sharing vacation weeks etc......
