I'm suprised no one is talking about this:

US Airways denied Pittsburgh extension
Jeanine Herbst
Contributing Writer
Arlington-based US Airways has been denied permission to extend its lease at Pittsburgh International Airport for another year, after the two sides couldn't reach an agreement on cutting debt. The carrier's lease ends in January.

US Airways just announced it will have to make even more cost cuts next year, as much as $300 million, and try to return to profitability after coming out of bankruptcy protection last spring.

Meanwhile, US Airways faces more competition as discount carrier Southwest plans to start service in Philadelphia, a US Airways stronghold. Now there is word that another discount carrier is looking for funding to go head to head with US Airways in its main markets, including at Reagan National Airport. It's called Project Roam for now, since there is no name for the proposed airline yet, and it plans to raise $100 million and start flying next June.
