The upward pressure on fuel prices just doesn't let up. Today, it jumped over $65/bbl before finishing just under that mark. In an interview w/ CNBC, oil expert Boone Pickens predicted $75/bbl within a year. Yikes!
Is there anyone out there who has a model for a profitable airline at that level? Does this make further industry consolidation and/or a major airline failure inevitable in the next year?
