gee finman, my statement sure seems to be true. i guess that the strike that is still ongoing is having alasting impact on other "companies" NWA "wants" to perform maintaince. cant blame UAL for turning down NWA contract

Actually, I believe its because the UAL AMTs (AMFA) have a "NO-STRUCK WORK" clause in their curent contract.

I did find it amusing that after all that UAL has done to their AMTs (and other employees) that they'd actually go to AMFA and ask them to ignore that part of the contract.
 
AMFA being on strike will have absolutely zero impact on the exit from bankruptcy. As far as the creditors, passengers, and everyone else that has a determining factor in NWA's success, the strike is long over and is completely irrelevant. Just thought you should be made aware of that, so hopefully you'll at least stop repeating this erronous statement.
You think Scab Air is going to exit BK finny? I don't, and its seems with the $1.1 billion 1Q loss, a few more quarters of those and you can stick a fork in the "flawless" scab plan and Scab Air in general. :unsure: Wait and see is the word of the day, it took EAL 2 years to die, so lets be patient and hope for the best.

I am not really making any predictions about whether or not NWA will emerge, although I'm guessing it will occurr in mid-2007. I am sure that the status of the AMFA strike will be completely irrelevant when/if we get to the time where emerging is discussed. For all intents and purposes, the strike is over. Only in the minds of those on the outside looking in is there still a strike going on. The strikers are no longer withholding their services (which I think is the definition of a strike), since the company no longer needs their services.

Well bean counter I do hope NWA enjoys attracting only the dregs of aviation maintenance, It has earned its place in history as SCABAIR and probably could do no worse by sending it all to singapore or mexico city.

It may only be in the minds of those on the outside, but it will be heard loud and clear from every mechanic that I know, to stear clear of SCABAIR. BTW.. having been in this industry for over twenty years I've become aquainted with A&P's from just about every Major airline, and they send their regards as well... :D

NW continues to impose silly work rules on the replacement workers. We are hired under an AMFA contract. They bring us here to break a union then want us to operate under a union contract, talk about irony. Now NWA is trying to enforce this contract. The Original Scabs are not taking to it very well. They basically have a contract workforce here that does not take to a bunch of silly work rules. Then there is the x-unionist that has vowed never to work in a union shop again. The seniority word is coming up more and more often, so the Original Scabs are simply moving on thus opening the door for the AMFA Scabs to step in and take their places. It was said before "AMFA will take NWA over again one SCAB at a time." This is almost true, only it will not be done by AMFA but by the AMFA Scabs the very guys AMFA needs to turn this around, the ones that AMFA has turned their backs on.

Just think, it will not be long before Northwest Mx is staffed by Union AMFA Scabs. :lol: Where is the Solidarity? Until you guys come up with a better system this is going to be the fate of all unions. Or you will simply become the bootlickers you guys despise so much. Only you will have two pair of boots to lick, the companies and your union leaders. :up:

I doubt very highly you will ever see a full staff of scabs there at SCAB AIR. Anyone who has brains wont want to start a career at Scab Air, especially when they have to work with you. GET THIS STRAIGHT YOU FILTHY SCAB:

NWA will always be in desperate need of help. They must first try to find out why they cant get enough help. By then CH7 will be thru and you will be left out looking in for scraps

How can I leave this one go by...First, you were not hired under an AMFA contract. Basically you made a deal with the devil to work for pay CONTRACT SCAB. The only reason seniority is "mentioned" in the private conversations is that the crossers are starting to remember the better days when we had a true "system" in place for greivences and such. All of which are now in the toilet. Nwa can, without regard for your "seniority", impose any rules they wish. And you HAVE to abide by it or hit the street.
Second, any hacks working on planes at nwa are NOT union members. I've said it before but it won't sink in with you SCABs...you crossed a picket line and your union membership was TERMINATED....Third ( and this is the funny part), I was refreshing to see you refer to yourself and your fellow SCABs as BOOTLICKERS :lol: ...I just love the TRUTH...

If unions are so great, then answer me this: In the auto industry . . . there are tons of empty factories in Michigan and a highly skilled auto work force. However all the foreign investment in Auto plants is in the South. Why? Because investors don't want to deal with heavy union mentality such as it exists in Michigan.

Started with the textile workers. Why? Cheap labor. Then most textile industries moved overseas, also due to cheaper labor. ‘Every One Else’ moved for the same reason. Cheap labor!

the only 'PROTECTION' in today's day and age is adaptability, willingness to learn and exceling at your job.

Now that's a reality you can try and rationalize.

Stepping out in front of a tractor-trailer doing 100 MPH is not taking a stand, it is a display of pure ignorance. Whether you believe it or not there are ways to take a stand without it being a kamikaze mission. It just takes a bit more thinking and planning is all.

There is plenty of room for you to have your Scab Bashing Sessions right here in the NWA forum. There is no sense in turning every US Aviation Forum into a Scab bashing contest that is all.
