So now it becomes personal!

"Considering"
"Weighing"
"Might"

Talk is cheap, and the clock is running.
Yes it is Kev!........ And Nancy got her panties in a bind and and wants things her way or nothing! Guess which it will be? In the mean time, you'll enjoy unemployment!....... It's a shame our President has to Govern by Executive Order!

Hmmmm....Trump is saying the government might do something to prevent layoffs at an airline that isn't nationalized. But if we vote for Biden, we will become a socialist country.

So what's your point K.C.? Trump isn't saying that by preventing layoffs it would be "nationalizing" them! If that's your drift? And Biden, or the Democrats, really haven't stated what they'd do if elected!

Trump hasn’t either. The Republican Party doesn’t even have a platform.
Pretty much. Fox lobbed a softball question at him like "what are your plans for the next 4 years" and he said he was an outsider and was never in Washington much until he was elected president. Here's his response. I could link it to a video clip of him actually saying this, but Trump supporters only hear their messiah and swoon so much that they think he's William Jennings Bryan. Here is Trumps response to his top priority for a second term:

One of the things that will be really great -- the word experience is still good, I always say talent is more important than experience, I've always said that -- but the word experience is a very important word, a very important meaning.

"I never did this before, never slept over in Washington. I was in Washington maybe 17 times and all of a sudden I'm the president of the United States, you know the story, riding down Pennsylvania Avenue with our first lady and I say this is great but I didn't know very many people in Washington, it wasn't my thing. I was from Manhattan, from New York, and now I know everybody. And I have great people in the administration. You make some mistakes, like an idiot like Bolton, you don't have to drop bombs on everybody.

My point is socialism is socialism, no matter how you cut it. Paying farmers to offset damage caused by his tariffs is socialism. Funding US airlines to avoid layoffs is socialism. Socialism is bad....until you need it.

Listen K.C.would you rather the Airlines go belly up due to the pandemic? The government hasn't "nationalized" anyone! And won't! ........Big difference! And if you are saying paying farmers to offset tariffs is socialism, well it's been going on for a long time! Nothing new there! In fact, they have been known to pay them not to plant!

I'M not the one who has been warning the country about the evils of socialism for the past umpteen years. Socialism is socialism, no matter how you cut it. If you don't like the fact the somebody gets government health care from YOUR dollar, then you'd better not support any proposal where YOUR industry gets support from MY money. As I said...socialism is bad...until you need it.

The problem is some people "need it" their whole life without contributing a damn thing with no regard of the burden they are placing on others.

I'd rather see the sickest of the airlines go belly up, which is what happened in 1991/1992 when the Gulf War decimated demand and took out any wind for EA and PA to try and recover. Having the government step in and manipulate market forces is generally a big mistake. It allows companies to remain bloated and avoid making structural changes that are needed for long term health.
