Oregon Gov. Kate Brown has activated the state National Guard to support local police officers after protests in Portland apparently linked to the recent presidential election became violent, local authorities say.
Other posts indicated the protests were linked to Black Lives Matter activists and criticism of the outcome of Tuesday's election.
Portland Police Chief Chuck Lovell said in a video statement early Thursday that a group of protesters assembled downtown and began engaging in "widespread violent behavior, such as destruction of property, smashing of ATMs and shattering of windows to many businesses and intimidating behavior."
"This prompted an unlawful assembly and later a riot declaration as their criminal behavior escalated," Lovell said.

Dems won Arizona and Colorado, Now 48.
GA will have not 1, but 2 run-offs. If they lose the run-offs, the DEMs would have a 50-50 split, meaning NO ONE is the majority leader.
VP Harris is the senate president, and 'unties' a 50-50 log jam.

None of that really matters as it looks like Trump's last act of this administration and first act of his second is to run the country via the courts. I thought you guys said you'd be gracious losers.
