They have no reason to chat. They are, presently, fat and happy! Good for them, they've been through alot over the years. Plus, the literally face NO competetion from the LCC's. If they suddenly find themselves dealing with JB, AT,ATA,WN or whomever......well then they'll be chattin away.!! Best of luck NWA...keep ur fingers crossed the LCC's dont come after you!!!

The last two analogies seem more appropriate. The problem with 'fortress hubs' is that, like real fortresses, they're hard to defend.

On a good note for NW, they could see a great profit from the expanded IND operation as people book away from ATA in fear of collapse. Not good for ATA in my opinion.
