Southwest hiring at DAL?

So we saw a job posting that WN is hiring at DAL. How long has it been since that happened? My nephew applied he doesnt have airline experience he fixes computers but he would like to work there.  Does anyone know how many will it be?

Once you posted that he has no airline experience, and he fixes computers, you pretty much lost every one here.  This is an airline mechanics thread, not computer repair.  If you wanna apply for our IT dept knock yourself out. But currently you lack the minimum requirements that SWA requires in order to even look at you as a mechanic,  sorry...

Sorry he didnt apply as a mechanic he applied for fleet service part time. I didnt realize this was a mechanics only message board. thats not indicated here.  On the other airlines boards all kinds of questions and topics are covered not just mechanics.

It's not an AMT only board. There are a few WN rampers that post here, but not too often. Good luck to your nephew!

Southwest has mechanic positions opened in OAK for GSE.  Go to Southwest.com to apply.  Good luck.   FYI, get in at GSE then you can bid into the Aircraft Mechanics.  A good way to get your foot in the door.  Loss of lic premium at GSE until you bid into A/C mechs positions...
