Goal is an SST (supersonic transport) with a sonic boom 60 decibels less than Concorde SST or typical military a/c. However, I don't think the sonic boom was the reason for the Concorde's ultimate commercial failure. I believe the problem was there weren't that many people willing to pay that much more to save a few hours on a transatlantic flight. N'est pas?
