He was a trained police reserve officer!

A teacher who is also a reserve police officer trained in firearm use ‘accidentally’ discharged a gun Tuesday at Seaside High School in Monterey County, Calif., during a class devoted to public safety, school officials said in a statement. A male student was reported to have sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Sadly it happened. Sadly it has happened to trained police doing safety demonstrations at schools, its happened to armed airline pilots.....its happens in homes, sometimes with tragic results.Handling firearms is a task that no one should ever take lightly. If you do, you have no business handling them.

Bottom line is humans make mistakes.

The upside, is hopefully, many will learn from these mistakes.

And, where would you put the box? Can we guarantee that the shooter will drive all students down the hallway where the box is located so they can obtain their rock? Or, is each student supposed to carry the rock with them at all times for "just in case." Now, we all know that any teenager who can think for him/her self is going to carry extra, superfluous weight in their backpack, don't we?

So after the active shooter has been immobilized, people will ask..."did you get your rocks off"?

"March for Our Lives" kids call for assault weapons ban, but do they know what they are? Nope.

"Like um, they are black and really scary".
