The Great Texas Airline Wars

It occurred to me that considering the growth of the airline industry since then--both in and to/from Texas--if they had not spent so much money suing each other then, they might all still be alive today. Different, but still in the business.

Kind of a long article, but a great read in Texas Monthly about the Great Texas Airline Wars between Southwest, Texas International, and Braniff. Got the link from Cranky Flyer. Enjoy!

A fantastic article. Great history here.
Would love to see sort of a follow up to that story with articles reflecting the same and new companies as we went thru the 80's, 90's and 2000's.
Let's not forget folks. SWA is today what Braniff was back in the day. It all depends on a well run organization as well as dedicated employees to bring that superb product to the customers. Keep the culture or that will start to dwindle as ours has started.

Thanks for the link Jim :)! Great Texas Monthly article.
Great to hear from you again Sharon.
BTW, today is the big "results" day after 10 am. Voting will conclude for our new contract...
