AirShares Elite announced Friday their group of pilot-owners has flown over four million miles. To put that number into perspective, consider that four million miles is equal to 8.5 roundtrips to the moon, or 160 trips around the earth at the equator.
The accomplishment comes as AirShares Elite celebrates its most successful year to date. In 2005, AirShares Elite saw the annual aircraft usage by their pilot-owners reach a total of 13,856 flight hours. AirShares also expanded into four major markets, added 15 aircraft to their rapidly growing fleet and welcomed their 200th client.
"Four years ago, we set out to enhance the human journey with broader access to personal aviation," said CEO David Lee. "Today we realize that reaching these performance milestones is a tremendous endorsement of our program by our owners... showing not only the great value our program, but also the incredible utility that owners are receiving from our fleet of 43 Cirrus Design SR22s."
AirShares Elite also celebrated surpassing the 25,000 flight hour mark. That's equivalent to over 3 years and 9 months of continuous operation.
