This Pig Won't Fly

Just saw a new one...I have a flight tomorrow on which both the husband AND the wife are traveling with an "allergy alert" dog.  I call BS.

No doubt the "allergy alert" dog will have to be permitted to roam the cabin freely, sniffing whatever might be necessary in order to protect the husband and wife team.

Here's a question:  Suppose the dog triggers at 37,000 feet somewhere over the Rocky Mountains?  Will it require a medical emergency diversion?

No, I think I'll just have to provide some facial tissue for blowing their noses.  Fortunately, when people start this allergy business, AA makes it quite clear to them that we can not guarantee an allergen-free cabin.  (We still get demands that we confiscate a passenger's own bag of peanuts because I/my child/my spouse/my next door neighbor is allergic to peanuts.)

Now, if they go into anaphylactic shock (indicating that in this case the allergy was real), there will be more to do.
