U.S. Senate rejects amendment to FAA reauthorization bill which would mandate minimum seat size on commercial aircraft.  Maybe they should mandate minimum fanny size instead.  After all, flight attendants must prove each year that they can get through the smallest exit available to them on one of their a/c.  For instance, at AA it would be the exit row windows on an MD-80. (I can't say for sure, but I've been told we had a f/a or two who could not do it.)  Perhaps passengers could be held to the same standard.
