I know you guys don't regularly talk about it, but, I heard from a very good source that you JB'ers are looking at bringing in AMFA. If you guys have any questions about AMFA and would want to gain more info please feel free to ask in the Southwest thread. At least there the company won't know it you guys looking for info. If you guys are good luck in your endeavor...

If JB wants the interactions to go array as they predict, then of course it will. Hel, they are not even willing to give it a chance. Here at SWA our company still has the open door policy, all the way to GK and use to be Herb and Colleen while they were still here. JB does seem to answer most the Q&A's truthfully, but they are completely wrong on the "how the crew members will treated after a union is voted in" This will only happen if the company is dead set for it to happen, this should tell the employees at JB just what the company is willing to do if a union is voted in, they are saying they are willing to let the open door policy, the "direct" interactions within the employees, and the job security issues to become an issue, and they will blame the union for it when in fact they are already preparing to start interacting in the exact way they have suggested would happen if you guys would vote for union representation. Again all this kind of examples givin by the company will only happen if the company wants them to happen, don't let the company BS get to you. Just look at how the employees are all still treated at SWA after years and years of union representation as well as the largest union workforce in the industry with well over 85% of employees are unionized, hmm go figure...

there is nothing that B6 can do to stop a vote... all companies follow the same rules for union votes.

The people will vote in a union if they believe it is in their best interest.

I never said that JB can stop a vote. My point was the BS JB is saying will happen if their "crewmembers" vote to unionize. They claim that all the great relationships they have will go away if they unionize and they will blame it on the union that it is happening. Apparently there is some interest in bringing in AMFA. This would be the best choice out of all the industrial unions. As you guys can see loc 11 is under a recall vote to remove the ALR from his position. You cannot do this with any of the other unions out there. The membership will control who runs and who is removed from local and National positions, not appointed officials.

OMG, swamt, you are a recruiter for the AMFA. Are you gonna clutter up this forum like you did the AA forum?

since relationships are two-way, it is possible that the "great relationships" could go away if that is what B6 mgmt. wants.... but that should obviously not be a motivating factor for B6 employees.

IF a union offers a better future, then the employees should not hesitate to do what is in their best interest.

But the unions also need to be able to demonstrate w/ a pretty high degree of certainty that they can indeed improve the lot of B6 employees - and right now based on US airline history that is not "proof" that can be easily provided - regardless of the union.

Yes, not a post in any forum that doesn't carry the same message.
I have no problem with someone attempting to promote their union, just sick of seeing it over and over and over again on every topic on every airline. Heck the AA boards have become so top heavy with it, that its outright boring.
