United Mechanics Contract

Funny how AA reached a T/A with its passenger service people. UAL is in negotiations for 5 years with its M&E people. So what does the passenger service agents at AA have to do with the M&E people at UAL?

Good question 1AA.  It is being discussed at SWA about the 14.5% raise at Delta. It is being discussed at SWA about the AA promised Delta+ 7%. And it is being discussed about, what will UAL do for their mechanics. We all also know that UPS is in mediation along with SWA mechanics in mediation.
GTD and all UAL mechanics, hoping you guys will come  out on top and gain what the membership really wants.  Good luck to you guys. Look forward to hearing some positive news from you guys soon...

Funny how the union shops are trying to keep up with the non-union shop. Here we are with the largest company, largest union and we are the lowest paid.

Time for the association and the afl-cio to step up!!!!!!!!!

The only thing the AFL-CIO would step up is their share of our dues. Then our dues will go up. All for what? Being affiliated with the AFL-CIO?

Medical is the only real thing it could be. It certainly isn't wages pension or work rules.

If the company was offering industry leading pay and benefits as they state in their press release, a delay for whatever the AA passenger service TA holds should be short lived.

We'll soon see.

Anyone at United have an indication about the "substantial early out" that was mentioned by the co in the update?  Just curious...

Below is an update from UAL about our negotiations:

Negotiations update
United has been meeting with the IBT for the last two weeks, and in that time we resolved some significant items under Healthcare, Hours of Service, and Sick, and we concluded a number of letters of agreement. The company made a comprehensive proposal on Saturday, providing industry-leading pay and benefits and offering meaningful improvements in the retirement area, a substantial early-out, and a base pay increase in excess of Delta’s recent 14.5 percent.

Unfortunately, yesterday’s announcement of a Tentative Agreement at American Airlines has changed the landscape. As a result, both sides have agreed to reconvene in Fort Lauderdale in two weeks’ time after we’ve had an opportunity to evaluate the impact on industry market rates of yesterday’s American tentative agreement.

The people of United are the key to our long-term success and we remain hopeful that we will continue to make progress when we meet again in two weeks.

Look forward to future updates in about 2 weeks.  Hoping you guys can get all the stuff the co took in BK and get industry leading pay, good luck...

Yes I hope so too but we'll see. Been here 28 years. I should have gone to fedex maint when I was younger....

Our craft at Fedex make topout rate of $32.94 base, $9.87 for airframe license , 9.87 for powerplant lic and .15 for line premium. Total $52.83 before shift diff of .35 for swings or .50 for midnight.

Don't mean to hijack this thread or stir anything up. But how has the seniority issue been handled?
