Read an article where it said VUSA chose SFO over OAK due to earnings potential. Kind of a silly statement when you consider OAK has Jetblue and SWA and no gate availability for a Hub. Just my thoughts.......
 
yea i read it... also heard many flights will be out of NYC area..dont know yet which airport.... GOOO JET SET :up: GOOOOOO
 
According to Wikipedia Virgin America's headquarters will be in New York and San Francisco or Burlingame, in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. Main hub will be at San Francisco International Airport. It will compete against Alaska Airlines, and United Airlines, and minimal competition with Southwest Airlines.

Rumor has it that Virgin is interested in Comair. San Francisco would be a hub.
