World Airways Pilots Ratify Three-Year Contract

World Airways, a wholly owned subsidiary of World Air Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: WLDA), announced today that its pilots, represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT), have ratified a three-year contract by a vote of 242 - 132.

World Airways and the pilots reached a tentative agreement Feb. 5, 2006 and the IBT conducted the ratification vote over the past few weeks. World Airways has a total of 430 pilots flying its MD-11 and DC-10 wide-body aircraft.

"This is a positive step for the company and our crewmembers," said Charlie McDonald, World Airways chief operating officer. "We will continue our focus on improving and strengthening service to our valued military and commercial customers under this mutually beneficial agreement."
