FORT WORTH, TX, (April 14, 2003)—LaWayne Jones of L. E. Jones Production Company in Duncan, Oklahoma wanted more time to manage his businesses of energy production and ranching. His “officeâ€￾ is a sprawling territory, which covers Southern Oklahoma, West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. The perfect tool for looking after his business interests is a helicopter; better yet, a Bell 407.

Mr. Jones wanted reliability and best in class after sales support in his helicopter. Furthermore, he wanted the best value for cost of operation, payload and speed. When he did the math, he found the Bell 407 met or exceeded all his requirements and expectations. The decision to move from an EC120 to a Bell 407 was an easy one when he considered the speed, payload, and unmatched customer support.

Kent (Corky) Courkamp, Director of Flight Operations, said, “We got tired of being held hostage for parts and maintenance. I put together information on three helicopters, and the Bell 407 came out the best. Reliability and support were really key in this decision.â€￾ The 407’s speed and range will now enable Mr. Jones to dedicate more time to his already busy schedule. Additionally, the customer support and training that comes with the purchase of the 407 makes this a much better value over the life cycle of the aircraft compared to the competing aircraft he evaluated.

The L. E. Jones Production 407 being completed at Edwards & Associates can soon be seen operating from its home base in Duncan, Oklahoma, all the way to Texas and New Mexico.

Propaganda, pure un-adulterated Bell propaganda.
But it''s good to see that the 407 is compared with an EC 120. Whats the next comparison? A 205 with a BA? Hee, Hee, Hee!!
Anyway, seeing the $$$ that Textron pulls in, I had a little pow wow with the lawyers today, and it seems we have a pretty good case for slander since all references made about Eurocopters product line and support, are unfoundly untrue. This leaves us with no other choice but to sue Textron for Millions. With EADS backing Eurocopter, we have far more ability to weather the storm and outlast, outwit and outplay the lawyers at Textron. The next time you see a Bell ad, it will be under EADS/Eurocopters banner.
Long live the backwards spinning rotors!!!!!
Imagine a starflex mounted atop a 407 with squirrel cheeks....sweet!

I''m guessing that it may take more than the whole EADS Lawyer team to disprove the comment....“We got tired of being held hostage for parts and maintenance" ??

saw the article too , a little price difference between an EC120 and 407 I would think.
