    WN code share?

I definitely think a WestJet codeshare could work. Both airlines operate on similar philosophies. WestJet already serves LAS from YYC, YVR, YEG, and YYZ (not too many frequencies though). Who knows.

    WSJ ARTICLE

That's not the only reason though, and certainly not the primary one. Forcing people to book on southwest.com eliminates paying a fee to Expedia/Travelocity/etc. Same reason some of the other majors will offer a FF bonus for booking online.

Albert Einstein: God is a "childish superstition"

This is honestly nothing really new - other Einstein writings from the past have clearly stated he was agnostic more than anything.

    Southwest Mortgages 21 Planes

I personally think a move to the 738/739 would be good for WN. WN pulled back on the longer flights due to higher costs on the 73G but I'm guessing the 738/739 would be a better moneymaker on these longer stages.

    Southwest Mortgages 21 Planes

I think this indicates a big move by WN personally. They have over $3bn of cash on hand (according to 1Q numbers).

USAF awards $35B defense contract to Northrup/Airbus

Still on the drawing board? http://www.defence.gov.au/Raaf/aircraft/kc30b.htm The A330 MRTT will enter services with the Aussies next year. Not the exact aircraft USAF will be getting (Northrop will be making changes obviously) but very very close to it.

USAF awards $35B defense contract to Northrup/Airbus

And then the McCain campaign can say how he "fought corruption"...it goes both ways. Don't count out McCain that quickly. The conservative faction of the party (read: Romney supporters) is realizing that while they don't like McCain, he's the best chance of a conservative in office. It comes...

Southwest just sent out a press release: http://phx.corporate-ir.net/phoenix.zhtml?...&highlight= While this never should have happened, Southwest has at least done a good job of keeping everyone up to date.

Need Some Help With a Project

Thanks to both of you guys for your help! I have a couple of questions for you, Jim, if you don't mind. :) Let me explain my confusion a bit more. First I have a question on the range chart (the one below is for the 752, sorry I cut off the footer). I have no problem finding the range needed...

Need Some Help With a Project

Hi, I'm currently a high school senior, and I'm required to write a relatively short research paper (3-5 pages). This year I'm looking at the possible runway extension at PVD (last year I wrote about the Southwest effect there). The paper will probably end up a lot longer than it has to be, but...
